We will be using Blogger.com to create our blogs. In addition to figuring out your topic this week, please go to blogger.com, select Create New Blog and follow the steps. Then use Add a Post to create your first post. You will notice that you can format your post using the toolbar across the top.

For example, you can set alignment, change the font size, add bold or underline, include a link or an image, etc. You can even change the font color or the font background color, as I have done here. You can also set a hyperlink on any text or image included in your post. For example, if I share information from a source, I could link it here using the link button on the toolbar near the top of the edit window.

Although you are welcome to spend some time on the look of your blog, the most important element is the writing. Consider that as your first purpose, including the content and the sources you use, and formatting as your second.

Once you have a new Post read to go, be sure to Publish it--you might also want to preview it first to see what it looks like. If you go in and edit a post, make sure you select Update when you are done.
